Node.js/Express.js is always under the development. This asynchronicity reveals that the applications are easier to develop and it can hold better and more concurrent connections. From this point of few, it may be said that node.js/Express is better than Python/Django.
The main advantage of Node.js is that it relies on the fact that it is “asynchronous”. Other feature of Node.js is, it is very fast and it’s all Javascript.
These days, single page application is more popular, which eliminates the need for scaffolding with Rails and Django. For this reason, there is need of Express which relaxes from the use of heavy framework.
A brief review of Node.js and Django is described below:
Django
Popularity: It is popular known tool but the user community is comparatively little less than Common Rail.
Easy to learn? Excellent Documentation but slightly steeper learning curve. It requires some configuration before one get it into development.
Easy to build and iterate? It is easy to build and iterate once the operator is up and running with it.
Easy to deploy? It is easy but comparatively lesser than Rail. There are some heroku equivalents djangozoom.com, stable.io and many more; but they tend to limit in their private Beta.
Node
Popularity: It is not much popular but is gaining popularity.
Easy to learn? Well, it is not too easy nor too difficult. It always allows a quicker connection to Hello World server together but it is more tricky and complex if full scale app is required. It is new to learn and still evolving in a better way. It is not absolute to compare Node and Django; as Django is a framework and Node is a barbone set of Apis that the user can use to develop something.
Easy to build and iterate? Yes, it is easy to build and iterate.
Easy to deploy? It is easy to head on to Node and apply to get a smart machine. It is easy to deploy.
We at Laitkor can always assist you in providing relevant information about Node and Django and which among them is better.
