Microsoft Azure Application Development Services |
Window Azure for Python / Django
1. Azure website uses IIS/Windows, so there are no roots. If you need to run custom software, you can put them in a Linux VM and access them as a service or you can only use a Linux VM for everything.
2. Lack of resources and documentation as well as unconventional deploy method for Python is against using Window Azure for anything other than .Net. You can also try Python tools for Visual Studio.
4. It is not so good as a cloud service on Azure, but VM on Azure is not bad.
6. If you build on .Net- Azure is best suited for .Net developers of websites and applications. You can also go with Microsoft’s BizSpark or WebsiteSpark programs to get Azure for free, as well.
The major benefit about keeping Azure pricing down is that you don’t actually have to use separate worker roles to handle your worker tasks. It depends on how people are ready to work on Python or
Django for Window platform.
